Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugh Gerrard kicked off to start the match. Birmingham City's Simon Beswetherick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugh Gerrard in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Birmingham City booed when Ledbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Stevens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Birmingham City's Jeremy Summers got a free kick in the 8th minute. Simon Beswetherick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Gerrard in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Stew Lobb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Beswetherick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Clark in the 19th minute of play forced Birmingham City's goalkeeper Simon Beswetherick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Beswetherick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brett Clark's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Hugh Gerrard struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Simon Beswetherick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ledbury. In the 34th minute, Jeremy Summers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Gerrard in the 44th minute of play forced Birmingham City's goalkeeper Simon Beswetherick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Brett Clark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Beswetherick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ledbury were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Simon Beswetherick was a little too slow when Frazer Bensley got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-2. 61 minutes into the match, Birmingham City's goal looked a bit too open when Hugh Gerrard came free, but Simon Beswetherick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Howard Penn hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Brett Clark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugh Gerrard struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Simon Beswetherick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ledbury. In the 73rd minute, Brett Clark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Beswetherick was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Hugh Gerrard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Simon Beswetherick came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugh Gerrard slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 77th minute. Simon Beswetherick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brett Clark in the 81st minute. Keanu Eubank blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Beswetherick having to make a save. Ledbury's Stew Lobb got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Birmingham City's Simon Beswetherick got control of the ball when Stew Lobb tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simon Beswetherick made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Brett Clark sent off a good shot on target. Simon Beswetherick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brett Clark showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 93 minute of play. Ledbury played a much better game than Birmingham City and deserved their victory. The Birmingham City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
