Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guy Philips kicked off to start the match. Thomas Barfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Greenfield having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Guy Philips managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. London Colney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guy Philips was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Thomas Barfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Aldeburgh's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Henwood came free, but Tyrone May reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Everard during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Steven Tisdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Greenfield having to interfere. Tyrone May made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Philips in the 26th minute of play. Ashley Robins's late challenge caught a London Colney's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ashley Robins helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aldeburgh getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ashley Robins hit a great ball. Guy Philips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone May having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Chaz Rockey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Aldeburgh's Ashley Robins to fire away a dangerous shot which Brian Greenfield despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Brian Greenfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Tisdale in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steven Tisdale was the one to do the kick off. Shane Henwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyrone May was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brian Greenfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Tisdale in the 58th minute of play. Steven Tisdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Aldeburgh fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Aldeburgh's Steven Tisdale looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute Thomas Barfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Greenfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Greenfield came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Aldeburgh's Steven Tisdale. But to his dismay, Steven Tisdale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. London Colney's Brian Greenfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Tisdale in the 74th minute of play. Thomas Barfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brian Greenfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Tisdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Steven Tisdale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Barfield in the 92nd minute of play forced London Colney's goalkeeper Brian Greenfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Aldeburgh had played much better football throughout.
