Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brendon Topham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Winehouse in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute CJ Winehouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Topham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holton-le-Clay FC's Bob Simms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Doughty in the 7th minute of play. CJ Winehouse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brendon Topham having to make a save. Brendon Topham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mickey Parkin's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Mickey Parkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Topham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Winehouse in the 16th minute of play forced Malmesbury's goalkeeper Brendon Topham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Malmesbury got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Doughty. CJ Winehouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mickey Parkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Brendon Topham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Holton-le-Clay FC's Sam Mallon got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper Doughty in the 22nd minute of play forced Holton-le-Clay FC's goalkeeper Bob Simms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Holton-le-Clay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Mallon to maneuver through the defense. Billie Clayson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bob Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendon Topham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sammy Gill went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Malmesbury's Vince Fenwick got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Chip Woodcock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vince Fenwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malmesbury's Jasper Doughty got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mickey Parkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Steve Pope kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Brendon Topham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Parkin in the 57th minute of play. If CJ Winehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vince Fenwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bob Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Holton-le-Clay FC's zone, Vince Fenwick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bob Simms came out of the goal and Vince Fenwick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If CJ Winehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Craig Reeve fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malmesbury's protests and gave Craig Reeve a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, one of Malmesbury:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malmesbury. Malmesbury:s Brendon Topham showed great skill when he stopped Reuben Sissons:s penalty. Reuben Sissons scored 0-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brendon Topham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st match minute, Malmesbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Doughty to maneuver through the defense. If Mickey Parkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, CJ Winehouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holton-le-Clay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Winehouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon Topham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 played minutes Malmesbury got a freekick which was hit by Vince Fenwick. After having played for 88 minutes, CJ Winehouse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holton-le-Clay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but CJ Winehouse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Vince Fenwick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chants of Holton-le-Clay FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Malmesbury had held the ball for most of the match.
