Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Todd Mayfield acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joey Drake. Casey Cotterill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Renwick in the 7th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Newhaven FC's Wesley Renwick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casey Cotterill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14th play minutes Sidney Knowles shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Casey Cotterill and just under the crossbar into goal. Wesley Renwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casey Cotterill having to interfere. northwich's Casey Cotterill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Knowles in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Newhaven FC's Theo Perryman got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley Renwick in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casey Cotterill saved northwich from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, northwich's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Renwick came free, but Casey Cotterill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sidney Knowles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casey Cotterill was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Al Crocker was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 47th minute Sidney Knowles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casey Cotterill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wesley Renwick to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newhaven FC's goalkeeper Todd Mayfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Wesley Renwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Al Crocker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Len Carey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Todd Mayfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Todd Mayfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Crocker in the 63rd minute of the match. If Rod Elding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joshua Delamore charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joshua Delamore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes northwich got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Delamore. Wesley Renwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casey Cotterill having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Newhaven FC got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Myers. If Sidney Knowles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casey Cotterill made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Sidney Knowles sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st match minute, northwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denzil Crocker to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 96 in the game by Sidney Knowles from a close distance when the talented Casey Cotterill managed to make a qualified save. northwich's players were relieved.
