Blair Fawell kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Stan Jenkinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Neil Thomson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stewart Davenport's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neil Thomson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Seb Crowther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zack Henwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Parks in the 32nd minute of play forced Transnistria FA's goalkeeper Seb Crowther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stewart Davenport had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Stewart Davenport managed to get in a good position for a shot. Transnistria FA's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Davenport was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neil Thomson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gwyn Beardsley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Seb Crowther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Neil Thomson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Rotherfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seb Crowther stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zack Henwood's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Seb Crowther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Henwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Hayling Island FC's Zack Henwood got a free kick in the 61st minute. Syd Paget recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gwyn Beardsley fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hayling Island FC's protests and gave Gwyn Beardsley a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Transnistria FA booed when Hayling Island FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwyn Beardsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lewis Rotherfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neil Thomson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lewis Rotherfield ran back to his position shaking his head. Neil Thomson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Jenkinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stan Jenkinson struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Neil Thomson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Transnistria FA. Neil Thomson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stan Jenkinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Transnistria FA's Brynn Gallacher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Neil Thomson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute of the game Billy MacDonald made a throw-in which Brandon Booker played forward. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hayling Island FC's goalkeeper Neil Thomson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hayling Island FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Transnistria FA had controlled the match.
