In the 6th minute, James Lyons fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Seb Dodd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Jeff Rooney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walendów United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leyton Orient F.C. the free kick. Jeff Rooney kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Donald Webb dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Richard Metcalf, 1-0. Howard Golding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Junior Weir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donald Webb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Donald Webb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Howard Golding was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Walendów United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leyton Orient F.C.:s goal. Richard Metcalf had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Victor Brookman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Walendów United's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Webb came free, but Richard Metcalf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If James Lyons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donald Webb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Richard Metcalf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Leyton Orient F.C. booed when Walendów United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Edwards didn't get a good kick on the ball. Junior Weir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Howard Golding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If James Lyons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-0 became the score in the 85th minute when James Lyons elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Donald Webb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Lyons struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Richard Metcalf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leyton Orient F.C.. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Donald Webb managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leyton Orient F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Donald Webb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Metcalf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Leyton Orient F.C. had won after a very even match.
