In the 12th minute of the match Marlon Blackley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clive Bittner skillfully saved the ball. Clive Bittner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Preece in the 13th minute of play. Rob McGrath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gus Preece in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clive Bittner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clive Bittner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gus Preece, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gus Preece scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clive Bittner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Rob McGrath got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th match minute, RED STAR BRASOV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Thompson to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Gus Preece made a precise shot to the right of Clive Bittner. RED STAR BRASOV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 39th minute Rob McGrath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Bittner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
