James Lyons's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfred Biernat firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alfred Biernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Webb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes, Norman Thornton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legends FC and the Leyton Orient F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Legends FC got a freekick which was hit by Norman Thornton. Alfred Biernat made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Lyons in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Byron Clement got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Byron Clement to strike the kick off in the second half. Donald Webb struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Alfred Biernat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leyton Orient F.C.. After 54 minutes, James Lyons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leyton Orient F.C. and the Legends FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Byron Clement in the 57th minute of play forced Leyton Orient F.C.'s goalkeeper Junior Weir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, one of Leyton Orient F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leyton Orient F.C.. Sonny Dowrick got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-2 in the right cross in the 64th match minute before Junior Weir had time to react. After having played for 73 minutes, Sonny Dowrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legends FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sonny Dowrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sonny Dowrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Junior Weir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Jimmy Boyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Leyton Orient F.C.'s Victor Brookman tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Donald Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Biernat having to interfere. Sonny Dowrick who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Junior Weir when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 95th minute Legends FC were awarded a corner. Brendon Garlick went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Damion Mabbutt advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-3 in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Legends FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
