Spectators: 7604 (Terracing: 5704, Seating: 1749, VIP seats: 151) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Huey Meadowcroft took the kick off in the first half of the match. 9 minutes into the match, RED STAR BRASOV's goal looked a bit too open when Huey Meadowcroft came free, but Clive Bittner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brett Ferdinand struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Clive Bittner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bishops Castle. Joel Jowsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Norfolk having to interfere. Brett Ferdinand took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clive Bittner. Clive Bittner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alastair Norfolk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Jowsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bishops Castle's zone, Joel Jowsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alastair Norfolk came out of the goal and Joel Jowsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Huey Meadowcroft in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clive Bittner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kasey Plumber kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 29thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Bishops Castle's keeper Alastair Norfolk was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After 32 minutes of play, Bishops Castle's Huey Meadowcroft made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clive Bittner was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute, Ralph Gates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Huey Meadowcroft recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

RED STAR BRASOV's Clive Bittner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 53rd minute of play. Brett Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Clive Bittner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Huey Meadowcroft in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clive Bittner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, RED STAR BRASOV's goal looked a bit too open when Huey Meadowcroft came free, but Clive Bittner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 66th minute of play forced RED STAR BRASOV's goalkeeper Clive Bittner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RED STAR BRASOV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Huey Meadowcroft scored to the left of an out of position Clive Bittner, making the score, 0-4. Huey Meadowcroft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Bittner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 83rd minute of play forced RED STAR BRASOV's goalkeeper Clive Bittner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bishops Castle played a much better game than RED STAR BRASOV and deserved their victory. The RED STAR BRASOV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
