Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Matt Goldthorpe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hendon United FC's Jay Staple got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Will Beevers kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Trey Elwick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dean Titmus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Prescot's Vinnie Selby got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinnie Selby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matt Goldthorpe having to make a save. In the 40th minute, Kieran Cahill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Hendon United FC's goalkeeper Matt Goldthorpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinnie Selby. 47 minutes into the game, Trey Elwick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dean Titmus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Jay Staple could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Dean Titmus made a huge save. Sonny Brooke hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Prescot's Dean Titmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Elwick in the 60th minute of play. Prescot's Dean Titmus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Prescot from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute Kieran Cahill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matt Goldthorpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. One of Prescot:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hendon United FC:s goal. Warren Kirkpatrick placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Trey Elwick in the 89th minute of play forced Prescot's goalkeeper Dean Titmus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Beevers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Matt Goldthorpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hendon United FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
