Bootle United's Rhys Brearley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Marston in the 64th minute of play. Rhys Brearley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Marriott, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, Bootle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kev Wilkes to maneuver through the defense. In the 90thth minute of the game Sam Haugue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bootle United's Rhys Brearley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute Sam Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devon Warrender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Devon Warrender didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sam Barrett went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Bootle United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
