Kristopher Chilton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sam Barrett showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. When Lavendon City's Guy Gunn in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bootle United's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Perry Laycock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rhys Brearley. Bootle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perry Laycock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Perry Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Brearley having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Bootle United got a freekick which was hit by Ash Steele. If Guy Gunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bootle United booed when Lavendon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Bond didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guy Gunn to strike the kick off in the second half. Kristopher Chilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Barrett in the 52nd minute of the match. Guy Gunn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 56th playminute. Guy Gunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Bootle United's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Gunn came free, but Rhys Brearley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guy Gunn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Rhys Brearley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rhys Brearley made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Guy Gunn sent off a good shot on target. Rhys Brearley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Laycock in the 74th minute of play. Kristopher Chilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Barrett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Bootle United's goalkeeper Rhys Brearley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guy Gunn. 81 minutes into the game, Bootle United's Sam Barrett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristopher Chilton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 90 minutes into the match, Bootle United's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Laycock came free, but Rhys Brearley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher Chilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Steele in the 91st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Perry Laycock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lavendon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Perry Laycock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rhys Brearley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bootle United succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Lavendon City had controlled the match.
