Lance Plant's late challenge caught a Real Mezcal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Plant helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Last Kings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Plant to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes Real Mezcal got a freekick which was hit by Spike Rush. Robbie Elliott struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Stu Dodgson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Mezcal. After a defensive mix-up in Last Kings's zone, Robbie Elliott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stu Dodgson came out of the goal and Robbie Elliott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Last Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Powell came free, but Stu Dodgson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stu Dodgson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Powell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronan Hutchinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Walton in the 43rd minute of the match. Dom Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dom Walton to strike the kick off in the second half. If Rio Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Last Kings's Stu Dodgson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbie Elliott in the 58th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Last Kings got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Barone. After 68 minutes of play Last Kings's Lance Plant was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Real Mezcal booed when Last Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Plant didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Garry Chambers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Garry Chambers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan Hutchinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rio Powell was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Garry Chambers might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronan Hutchinson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garry Chambers ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Last Kings's Garry Chambers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronan Hutchinson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ronan Hutchinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Chambers in the 94th minute of the match. Last Kings were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Real Mezcal for a fine match.
