Sean Potterton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Francis Mumford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luke Hislop in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francis Mumford, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Francis Mumford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Potterton, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Knowle AFC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Rowe. 26 minutes into the match, Knowle AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Potterton came free, but Francis Mumford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Potterton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Francis Mumford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Romeo Rowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luke Hislop could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Francis Mumford made a huge save. After 41 minutes of play, Knowle AFC's Niall Budden made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Mason was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Niall Budden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.c. Talent!'s Luke Hislop got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sean Potterton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Mumford having to interfere. Romeo Rowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Mason having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in F.c. Talent!'s zone, Niall Budden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Mason came out of the goal and Niall Budden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sean Potterton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Knowle AFC defense, Luke Hislop kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Mumford. The Knowle AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Mumford should have stopped the shot. If Romeo Rowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Niall Budden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ian Mason was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Knowle AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Knowle AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
