Charles Bridgeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Jeremy Holdsworth could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Eddy Scrivener however easily saved by the left post. In the 89th minute, Junior Portway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 91 minutes, Abraham Fry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Everton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Fry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denzil Newman hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Jewson in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Scrivener prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Everton FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
