Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alf Pope kicked off to start the match. Kevin Jewson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Gareth Ainge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Harris having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Jeremy Holdsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremy Holdsworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alf Pope in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Cordingley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brian Cordingley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Pope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Howard Tyrell's late challenge caught a Naija Draig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Howard Tyrell helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes into the match, Everton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Pope came free, but Brian Cordingley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Gareth Ainge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match, Kevin Jewson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but John Harris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 35 minutes into the match, Everton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Pope came free, but Brian Cordingley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Holdsworth succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 37th playminute. When Jeffrey Osmond fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Everton FC's protests and gave Jeffrey Osmond a yellow card for diving instead. Jeffrey Osmond kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Trevor Bye kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Jewson made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Alf Pope managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naija Draig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Pope was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlton Copsey in the 56th minute of play forced Everton FC's goalkeeper Brian Cordingley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Naija Draig's Andy Martin got a free kick in the 60th minute. John Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Jewson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Pope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute, Alf Pope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute of the match, Alf Pope got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brian Cordingley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 76th minute, Jeremy Holdsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Naija Draig's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Jewson came free, but John Harris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Cordingley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Westerby in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Everton FC got a freekick which was hit by Spike Rathmell. 87 minutes into the game, Gareth Ainge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. John Harris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 91 played minutes Everton FC got a freekick which was hit by Trevor Bye. With his leg Brian Cordingley managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Naija Draig's Alf Pope fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Everton FC were furious when Trevor Bye was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Everton FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Trevor Bye hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Naija Draig players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Everton FC.
