Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kevin Jewson kicked off to start the match. David Fenton hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, New Teamname's goalkeeper Casey Crocker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Holdsworth. Casey Crocker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Jewson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Everton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Les Mulligan came free, but Brian Cordingley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Glenn Rushforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Les Mulligan in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Cordingley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Everton FC's Brian Cordingley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Shipley in the 18th minute of play. Brian Cordingley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Rushforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Les Mulligan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of New Teamname booed when Everton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gareth Ainge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, New Teamname was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stan Carey to maneuver through the defense. When Everton FC's Kevin Jewson in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Teamname's goalie prevented a goal. Jeremy Holdsworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Casey Crocker made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Shipley in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brian Cordingley saved Everton FC from getting behind. Brian Cordingley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glenn Rushforth's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes of play, New Teamname's Les Mulligan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Cordingley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Rushforth to make the kick off. Jeremy Holdsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Casey Crocker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wally Heslop kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Everton FC's Jeremy Holdsworth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casey Crocker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Everton FC's Jeremy Holdsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Kevin Jewson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of New Teamname's Casey Crocker. Casey Crocker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to New Teamname getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Justin Patten hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match Jeffrey Osmond shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casey Crocker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brian Cordingley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Rushforth in the 68th minute of play. Victor Culverhouse hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, New Teamname's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffrey Osmond came free, but Casey Crocker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Jewson in the 77th minute of play forced New Teamname's goalkeeper Casey Crocker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glenn Rushforth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Cordingley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Les Mulligan went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute, Todd Shipley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casey Crocker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy Holdsworth in the 89th minute of play. Wally Heslop kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Kevin Jewson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. New Teamname's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
