Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alf Pope started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Alf Pope notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Belvedere FC's Duncan Holt. Duncan Holt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alistair Margarson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicholas Milner during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alistair Margarson's late challenge caught a Naija Draig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alistair Margarson helped the player get up and apologised. John Harris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alistair Margarson went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thom Brady received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Duncan Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alf Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Alistair Margarson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Harris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alf Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alistair Margarson came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Belvedere FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alistair Margarson couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Alf Pope sped through Belvedere FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Duncan Holt. After a rather tough play, Belvedere FC's Vic Jackson got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Naija Draig's Alf Pope in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belvedere FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fred Westerby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naija Draig's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Westerby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Holt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alf Pope came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Naija Draig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Pope couldn't finish the play. Lewis Endean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alistair Margarson made a kick off. Fred Westerby's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Duncan Holt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Duncan Holt made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Fred Westerby sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Belvedere FC's Duncan Holt got control of the ball when Alf Pope tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alf Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Fred Westerby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Alf Pope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wes Willetts kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Naija Draig's Fred Westerby took a good shot, in the 78th minute, which hit the crossbar above Duncan Holt's head, and flew over the goal. Belvedere FC's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Naija Draig. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Alf Pope took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Duncan Holt to make any attempt to save it. Duncan Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlton Copsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ash Drake fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belvedere FC's protests and gave Ash Drake a yellow card for diving instead. Ash Drake kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Naija Draig's goal looked a bit too open when Ash Drake came free, but John Harris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Daly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Harris having to interfere. Alf Pope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alf Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naija Draig's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
