Duncan Holt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neil Castleton's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 11th minute, Neil Castleton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cereal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Cereal FC booed when Belvedere FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Reed didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Holt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Castleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Wes Willetts kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, one of Cereal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Belvedere FC. Barry Reed stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eddy Scrivener. 1-1. Eddy Scrivener took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alistair Margarson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddy Scrivener came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Belvedere FC's Huey Floyd. But to his dismay, Huey Floyd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Eddy Scrivener made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noel Daly in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, Cereal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Burton to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute of the match Barry Reed sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddy Scrivener skillfully saved the ball. Eddy Scrivener took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alistair Margarson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddy Scrivener was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Huey Floyd capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Huey Floyd really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eddy Scrivener made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Junior Portway scored 6-2 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duncan Holt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Belvedere FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
