But to his dismay, Kris Potterton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Eric Clarke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zane Prendergast having to interfere. Zane Prendergast showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Bamford, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the match, parkgate fc's goalkeeper Owen Sawbridge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iain Myers. 36 minutes into the match, Kris Potterton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zane Prendergast. Preston North End's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kris Potterton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Clarke made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as parkgate fc's Eric Clarke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zane Prendergast. That made the score 0-4 after 51 minutes of play. parkgate fc were furious when Peter Broom was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for parkgate fc! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Wilmott in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Owen Sawbridge saved parkgate fc from getting behind. The supporters of parkgate fc booed when Preston North End was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Hayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Dixon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kris Potterton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zane Prendergast having to make a save. parkgate fc's Sebastian Dixon got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kenny Bamford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Kenny Bamford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zane Prendergast saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Dixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Zane Prendergast tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sebastian Dixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kenny Bamford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris Potterton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Zane Prendergast made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded parkgate fc left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Preston North End.
