In the 11th minute Tommy Baldwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Broad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Baldwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Baldwin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Freddy Broad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 21st match minute, Holy Smoke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Reeve to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Baldwin struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Freddy Broad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holy Smoke. Tommy Baldwin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Freddy Broad skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Freddy Broad didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Holy Smoke's Tommy Baldwin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 34th minute Dylon Barton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Broad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Warrington Town F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Thom Oakes hit a great ball. Freddy Broad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommy Baldwin's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Ed Harrad made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Baldwin in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Broad saved Warrington Town F.C. from getting behind. Freddy Broad came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Holy Smoke's Tommy Baldwin. But to his dismay, Tommy Baldwin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 64 minutes, Steven Featherstone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Warrington Town F.C. and the Holy Smoke players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Jo Reeve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holy Smoke's supporters rose to their feet, but Jo Reeve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Broad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st match minute, Warrington Town F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Featherstone to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Baldwin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Broad having to make a save. Bryan Birch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Freddy Broad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Baldwin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Broad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Freddy Broad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Baldwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Thom Oakes charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thom Oakes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Warrington Town F.C.'s Thom Oakes got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Holy Smoke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Reeve to maneuver through the defense. Joe Story-Moore was a little too slow when Ed Harrad got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 4-1. Freddy Broad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Birch in the 93rd minute of play. Tommy Baldwin struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Freddy Broad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holy Smoke. In the 95th minute, Ed Harrad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bryan Birch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Holy Smoke fully deserved thier win.
