Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Warren Tate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luke Jowsey was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 22ndth minute of the game Denzil Linford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badersfield Athletic's Luke Jowsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Simon Harkness fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Badersfield Athletic's protests and gave Simon Harkness a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Simon Harkness hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denzil Linford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Harkness recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 played minutes Bedford City got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Lawton. When Carl Moxey came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Badersfield Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Moxey couldn't finish the play. If Carl Moxey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bedford City's goalkeeper Ian Marsden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Denzil Linford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luke Jowsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nigel Lawton's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Carl Moxey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Marsden having to interfere. Denzil Linford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Harkness made a kick off. Luke Jowsey made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Warren Tate sent off a good shot on target. Dan Taggart charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Taggart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Badersfield Athletic's Dan Taggart got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Denzil Linford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Badersfield Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Towler. Luke Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Lawton in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Badersfield Athletic's goalkeeper Luke Jowsey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Warren Tate. After a defensive mix-up in Badersfield Athletic's zone, Warren Tate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Jowsey came out of the goal and Warren Tate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Marsden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Harkness, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Marsden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Moxey in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Simon Harkness got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Warren Tate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Jowsey having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Warren Tate notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Badersfield Athletic's Luke Jowsey. Luke Jowsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luke Jowsey came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Bedford City's Warren Tate. But to his dismay, Warren Tate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 98 played minutes Denzil Linford rounded Badersfield Athletic's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. The Badersfield Athletic fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bedford City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
