STEAUA BUCURESTI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Denzil Linford scored to the left of an out of position Adrian Myers, making the score, 3-0. Rupert Burrows fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Marsden having to interfere. Adrian Myers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denzil Linford showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denzil Linford in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 45th minute, Justin Rotherfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Warren Tate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justin Rotherfield to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to STEAUA BUCURESTI getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bedford City's Ian Marsden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Rotherfield in the 77th minute of play. Adrian Myers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Tate in the 94th minute of the match. Bob Warnett, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bedford City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
