Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kieran Argent kicked off to start the match. Gerry Munday blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Henry having to make a save. In the 8th minute Kieran Argent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylon Pettifer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Seaham's zone, Jimmy Halford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Henry came out of the goal and Jimmy Halford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Henry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Halford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Austen Pinder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Heathfield Rangers booed when Seaham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Heathfield Rangers's Dylon Pettifer got control of the ball when Lewis Routledge tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kieran Argent in the 34th minute of play forced Heathfield Rangers's goalkeeper Dylon Pettifer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Austen Pinder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ian Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
