Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kieran Argent made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Bedford City's goal looked a bit too open when Kieran Argent came free, but Ian Marsden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Seaham's Robert Dingle got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 8 played minutes Bedford City got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Lawton. With a little luck, Bedford City's Ian Marsden got control of the ball when Lewis Routledge tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lewis Routledge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Marsden having to interfere. Kieran Argent succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. If Kieran Argent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Warren Tate in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Henry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denzil Linford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ian Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Henry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denzil Linford, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Seaham's zone, Warren Tate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Henry came out of the goal and Warren Tate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Henry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Tate in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
In the 53rd minute Bedford City were awarded a corner. Bob Warnett went to the cornerflag to take it. Bob Warnett made a great header on Bedford City's corner, it was just that Seaham's Ian Henry managed to reach the ball for a save. Lewis Routledge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Marsden having to interfere. Lewis Routledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Dingle got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 65 played minutes Seaham got a freekick which was hit by Robert Dingle. In the 67th minute, Bob Warnett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Henry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denzil Linford in the 72nd minute of the match. Lewis Routledge's late challenge caught a Bedford City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lewis Routledge helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Lewis Routledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Nigel Lawton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bedford City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seaham the free kick. After 77 played minutes Bedford City got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Lawton. Denzil Linford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Henry having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Bedford City's Denzil Linford slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ian Henry. That made the score 2-2 after 94 minutes of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
