In a very dangerous position, a player in Blackburn Olympic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Rupert Lister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Lee Birchall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, Camberwell's Ben Rose made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lee Birchall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chaz Soussan struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Toby Blakewell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackburn Olympic. When Bradley Blacknell fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blackburn Olympic's protests and gave Bradley Blacknell a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Blackburn Olympic got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Blacknell. 25 minutes into the match, Camberwell's Justin Kershaw broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Blackburn Olympic's Spike Impey got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes Blackburn Olympic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Justin Kershaw who took care of the corner kick. Lee Birchall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Rose in the 36th minute. Ben Rose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Ben Rose left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Camberwell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Phil Carroll charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phil Carroll the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Camberwell getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Phil Carroll hit a great ball. If Chaz Soussan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chaz Soussan made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Gordon Bzeu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camberwell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blackburn Olympic the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Rose in the 61st minute of play forced Blackburn Olympic's goalkeeper Lee Birchall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chaz Soussans short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Toby Blakewell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rupert Lister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Phil Carroll was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Camberwell's Phil Carroll got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Rose in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Birchall saved Blackburn Olympic from getting behind. Spike Impey kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Camberwell's Justin Kershaw got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Francis Small fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blackburn Olympic's protests and gave Francis Small a yellow card for diving instead. Francis Small hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ben Rose blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lee Birchall having to make a save. In the 87th match minute, Blackburn Olympic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chip Avery to maneuver through the defense. Lee Birchall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Rose, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rupert Lister during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camberwell's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
