When Dom Perryman came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Totley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dom Perryman couldn't finish the play. Brad Stevens kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Shawn Callery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Paul Paterson in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Totley City's Reggie Bayliff got a free kick in the 38th minute. John Paul Paterson struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Shawn Callery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkcombe. Dale Downing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Malcolm McCunnie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dale Downing made a kick off. When Hawkcombe's John Paul Paterson in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Totley City's Shawn Callery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Paul Paterson in the 67th minute of play. Malcolm McCunnie made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Dom Perryman sent off a good shot on target. Dom Perryman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm McCunnie having to interfere. In the 74th minute John Paul Paterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Callery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Paul Paterson struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Shawn Callery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkcombe. Danny Daly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Totley City's goal looked a bit too open when Brad Stevens came free, but Shawn Callery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shawn Callery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Paul Paterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Totley City got a freekick which was hit by Russ Portway. 88 minutes into the match, John Paul Paterson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shawn Callery. Totley City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Paul Paterson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The supporters of Totley City booed when Hawkcombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashley Charie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Dom Perryman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Malcolm McCunnie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 98 minutes into the game, Dale Downing was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Totley City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hawkcombe the free kick. Dale Downing hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Hawkcombe's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
