Spectators: 6110 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 10) Kurt Bullock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leroy Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Matlock's Harry Stockton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tod Beecham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tod Beecham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Len Bradbury's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th match minute, Matlock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Vaughn to maneuver through the defense. Franz Deacon came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kurt Bullock could save by the left post. In the 23rd minute Harry Stockton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Beecham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes TurkishPower got a freekick which was hit by Kris Singleton. Micheal Dickens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Dunne in the 36th minute of play forced Matlock's goalkeeper Kurt Bullock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Stockton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tod Beecham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leroy Wilkins's late challenge caught a Matlock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leroy Wilkins helped the player get up and apologised. Stew Clement took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tod Beecham. TurkishPower's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Micheal Dickens might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Bullock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Micheal Dickens ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leroy Dunne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Matlock defense, Leroy Dunne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurt Bullock. The Matlock fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurt Bullock should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in TurkishPower's zone, Jamal Hunter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Beecham came out of the goal and Jamal Hunter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tod Beecham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Stockton in the 58th minute. Franz Deacon charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franz Deacon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 69 minutes into the match, Matlock's Harry Stockton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tod Beecham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Len Bradbury received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tod Beecham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Harry Stockton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matlock's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Stockton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tod Beecham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Leroy Wilkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Matlock's Len Bradbury dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. A hard shot 98 in the game by Harry Stockton from a close distance when the talented Tod Beecham managed to make a qualified save. TurkishPower's players were relieved. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
