Hawkcombe's John Paul Paterson got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tod Beecham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Nailor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 played minutes Hawkcombe got a freekick which was hit by Derek Weston. Tod Beecham came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Hawkcombe's John Paul Paterson. But to his dismay, John Paul Paterson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Leroy Dunne was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Micheal Dickens scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Malcolm McCunnie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruce Nailor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tod Beecham having to make a save. A collision led to TurkishPower getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Leroy Wilkins hit a great ball. Micheal Dickens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Malcolm McCunnie having to make a save. In the 36th minute of the game, Leroy Wilkins landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Derek Weston's late challenge caught a TurkishPower's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Derek Weston helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Hawkcombe got a freekick which was hit by Derek Weston. If Bruce Nailor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Paul Paterson in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tod Beecham saved TurkishPower from getting behind. When Hawkcombe's John Paul Paterson in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TurkishPower's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Paul Paterson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Paul Paterson got free with Tod Beecham in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TurkishPower's Tod Beecham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Paul Paterson in the 54th minute of play. Tod Beecham made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Bruce Nailor sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, John Paul Paterson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawkcombe's supporters rose to their feet, but John Paul Paterson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tod Beecham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tod Beecham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Paul Paterson in the 64th minute of the match. John Paul Paterson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tod Beecham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that John Paul Paterson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tod Beecham was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Ashley Charie kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Micheal Dickens might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Malcolm McCunnie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as Hawkcombe's John Paul Paterson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tod Beecham. That made the score 1-4 after 88 minutes of play. Tod Beecham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Paul Paterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Ashley Charie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawkcombe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TurkishPower the free kick. In the 95th minute, Ashley Charie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
