Spectators: 7483 (Terracing: 5614, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Eddy Lobb started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 minutes of play, Coppull FC's David Turner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phillip Findley was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute Mattias Fairbank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Findley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phillip Findley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Sykes in the 11th minute of play. Darryl Sykes scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phillip Findley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Phillip Findley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Turner in the 18th minute of play. Darryl Sykes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Phillip Findley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, David Turner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phillip Findley. Reekies Wee Laddies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Turner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Phillip Findley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Turner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Turner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Phillip Findley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Turner in the 44th minute of play forced Reekies Wee Laddies's goalkeeper Phillip Findley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Reekies Wee Laddies players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coppull FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Turner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Sykes got free with Phillip Findley in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, David Turner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coppull FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Turner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillip Findley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If David Turner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phillip Findley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Turner in the 60th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Darryl Sykes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coppull FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Darryl Sykes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillip Findley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by David Turner got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Darryl Sykes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Reekies Wee Laddies! Phillip Findley went to the wrong direction when James Furlong was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Darryl Sykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Findley having to interfere. Darryl Sykes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Phillip Findley firmly grabbed it by the left post. David Turner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phillip Findley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Phillip Findley was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Trevor Lock capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Trevor Lock really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Phillip Findley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Turner's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. David Turner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, David Turner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Coppull FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Reekies Wee Laddies throughout the match.
