Adam Keyworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Church having to interfere. Stan Church made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loyd Knight-Percival in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Manchester United FC booed when Tenbury Wells AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Keyworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Adam Keyworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tenbury Wells AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Keyworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stan Church breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teddy Pringle in the 45th minute of play forced Tenbury Wells AFC's goalkeeper Barney Rushmere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Walter Harrington struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Stan Church didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tenbury Wells AFC. With a little luck, Tenbury Wells AFC's Barney Rushmere got control of the ball when Teddy Pringle tried to sneak it across the goal line.
