Worthing United's Eric May played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Bradfield in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Sid Auckland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrie Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orson Chapman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric May having to interfere. If Orson Chapman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowan Blake in the 22nd minute of play forced DanGaming FC's goalkeeper Barrie Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Worthing United's Eric May proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Worthing United from getting a goal against them. In the 27thth minute of the game Bryan Bradfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Worthing United's Eric May was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes, Marty Hartshorn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DanGaming FC and the Worthing United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marty Hartshorn kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Worthing United's Philip Hurdle couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for DanGaming FC. When Rio Chivers fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DanGaming FC's protests and gave Rio Chivers a yellow card for diving instead. Rio Chivers hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Rowan Blake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barrie Francis was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sid Auckland to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, DanGaming FC's Orson Chapman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric May narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Worthing United defense, Bryan Bradfield kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric May. The Worthing United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric May should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the match, DanGaming FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sid Auckland came free, but Barrie Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bryan Bradfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Bryan Bradfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric May saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric May made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orson Chapman in the 67th minute of play. Sol Turner's late challenge caught a Worthing United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sol Turner helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes DanGaming FC got a freekick which was hit by Sol Turner. A hard shot by Philip Hurdle from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Barrie Francis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sid Auckland in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barrie Francis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eric May took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Bradfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sid Auckland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Barrie Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Orson Chapman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric May was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Barrie Francis came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Worthing United's Rowan Blake. But to his dismay, Rowan Blake quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
