Perry Barker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastien Hampton charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastien Hampton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Rick Fielden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Brook in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Lennie Peakman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Legg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rick Fielden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregory Brook in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Gregory Brook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Mason FC got a freekick which was hit by Perry Barker. In the 27th match minute, Mason FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Sparks to maneuver through the defense. If Gregory Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Gregory Brook notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Grangetown F.C.'s Rick Fielden. Rick Fielden was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Legg was the one to do the kick off. If Gregory Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grangetown F.C.'s Alastair Hooker got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Brook in the 95th minute of play forced Grangetown F.C.'s goalkeeper Rick Fielden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mason FC's Gregory Brook in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grangetown F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Mason FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grangetown F.C..
