Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ferndown Foxes FC's Loyd Scrivener started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Selhurst FC's Conan Wilkins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Selhurst FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jools Potterton in the 12th minute of play forced Ferndown Foxes FC's goalkeeper Dean Tabb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harvey Vaughan in the 14th minute of play forced Selhurst FC's goalkeeper Conan Wilkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Jools Potterton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jools Potterton came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Selhurst FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jools Potterton couldn't finish the play. Selhurst FC's Conan Wilkins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Selhurst FC from getting a goal against them. Dean Tabb came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Selhurst FC's Jools Potterton. But to his dismay, Jools Potterton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jools Potterton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conan Wilkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loyd Scrivener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loyd Scrivener was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Ferndown Foxes FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Conan Wilkins was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Loyd Scrivener capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Loyd Scrivener really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Abraham Monk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jools Potterton made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Harvey Vaughan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferndown Foxes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 54th minute, Laurence Hill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by CJ Slade from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Dean Tabb's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 57th minute, Laurence Hill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Loyd Scrivener struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Conan Wilkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferndown Foxes FC. 63 minutes into the match, Selhurst FC's goal looked a bit too open when Loyd Scrivener came free, but Conan Wilkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loyd Scrivener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Conan Wilkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Loyd Scrivener came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ferndown Foxes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loyd Scrivener couldn't finish the play. John Fawell hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Leroy Percival in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Selhurst FC's Abraham Monk. Dean Tabb made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Monk in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Ferndown Foxes FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jools Potterton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Abraham Monk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dean Tabb was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 84 minutes into the game, Norman Dines threw the ball into play from the sideline. Selhurst FC's Travis Lansdell quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Norman Dines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Selhurst FC defense, Harvey Vaughan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conan Wilkins. The Selhurst FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conan Wilkins should have stopped the shot. Selhurst FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
