Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garry Bartram got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes, Seb Harrison mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buckfast Abbey City and the Deptford players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Buckfast Abbey City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Deptford a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ged Archer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton. 0-1. When Seth Saville fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buckfast Abbey City's protests and gave Seth Saville a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deptford booed when Buckfast Abbey City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seth Saville didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seth Saville kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Alfie Boulton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Thomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Drew Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deptford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Drew Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Deptford's Tod Rushforth in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buckfast Abbey City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute, Drew Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfie Boulton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Rushforth in the 27th minute of play. After 33 minutes, Tod Rushforth made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dean Harkness fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Forrest having to interfere. Drew Thomas took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfie Boulton. Alfie Boulton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Alfie Boulton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon North in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tod Rushforth was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton got control of the ball when Drew Thomas tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tod Rushforth in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfie Boulton saved Buckfast Abbey City from getting behind. If Tod Rushforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfie Boulton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Rushforth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tod Rushforth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Drew Thomas could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Alfie Boulton however easily saved by the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Tod Rushforth dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfie Boulton, 0-4. If Drew Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfie Boulton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Drew Thomas in the 72nd minute. Tod Rushforth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Drew Thomas sped through Buckfast Abbey City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfie Boulton. Alfie Boulton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Rushforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Nigel Waterhouse charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nigel Waterhouse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Buckfast Abbey City's zone, Tod Rushforth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Boulton came out of the goal and Tod Rushforth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfie Boulton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Rushforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod Rushforth in the 96th minute of play.
