Spectators: 7526 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vance Galloway started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, East Horsley United's Gwyn Bellamy got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Chris Foreman managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Horsley United's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Foreman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zane Page breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Chris Foreman sped through Elwood FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zane Page. East Horsley United's Jeff Branson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save East Horsley United from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the game, Rafael Roldanillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeff Branson. Rafael Roldanillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 15th minute, Jarle Larsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elwood FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The supporters of Elwood FC booed when East Horsley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orson Hellen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarle Larsen got free with Jeff Branson in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarle Larsen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Zane Page showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Marsden in the 34th minute of the match. Ben Barton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeff Branson having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Foreman in the 38th minute of play forced Elwood FC's goalkeeper Zane Page to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Jarle Larsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vance Galloway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liam Marsden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

East Horsley United's Jeff Branson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarle Larsen in the 53rd minute of play. Chris Foreman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Orson Hellen fired a really elegant long shot, but Zane Page threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Rio Groom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeff Branson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarle Larsen went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In a very dangerous position, a player in East Horsley United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Rio Groom walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in East Horsley United's zone, Ben Barton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Branson came out of the goal and Ben Barton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ben Barton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeff Branson having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Elwood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Bower to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Rafael Roldanillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jeff Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kristian Bower blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeff Branson having to make a save. Jeff Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Roldanillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Vance Galloway recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zane Page. Vance Galloway showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. After having played for 93 minutes, Jarle Larsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elwood FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarle Larsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in East Horsley United's zone, Jarle Larsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Branson came out of the goal and Jarle Larsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Elwood FC's Zane Page got control of the ball when Vance Galloway tried to sneak it across the goal line. 99 minutes into the match, Rafael Roldanillo notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of East Horsley United's Jeff Branson. Jeff Branson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elwood FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of East Horsley United for a fine match.
