Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tod Rushforth started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Rupert Armitstead hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ferndown Foxes FC's Loyd Scrivener tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 5 played minutes Deptford got a freekick which was hit by Micheal Downs. The supporters of Deptford booed when Ferndown Foxes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Tabb didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Drew Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joey Gallacher hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Micheal Downs kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Sammy Banks charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sammy Banks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Loyd Scriveners short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Andre Forrest to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tod Rushforth took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dean Tabb. Dean Tabb dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 27th minute Tod Rushforth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Tabb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Steve Mowlem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferndown Foxes FC's Dean Tabb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Armitstead in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Ferndown Foxes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Walmsley to maneuver through the defense. Ferndown Foxes FC's Dean Tabb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod Rushforth in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Loyd Scrivener managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferndown Foxes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loyd Scrivener was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loyd Scrivener was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loyd Scrivener couldn't finish the play. Steve Mowlem hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Andre Forrest took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Vaughan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Deptford players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
