Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jarle Larsen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Zane Page showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Bartram in the 4th minute of the match. When Jake Connett fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buckfast Abbey City's protests and gave Jake Connett a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Buckfast Abbey City getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jake Connett hit a great ball. Alfie Boulton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ben Barton went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute, one of Buckfast Abbey City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buckfast Abbey City. Rio Groom placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rio Groom in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfie Boulton saved Buckfast Abbey City from getting behind. Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Buckfast Abbey City from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Waterhouse in the 21st minute of play forced Elwood FC's goalkeeper Zane Page to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarle Larsen during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Elwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarle Larsen. Zane Page made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Harkness in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Buckfast Abbey City booed when Elwood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rio Groom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rio Groom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alfie Boulton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Alfie Boulton throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jarle Larsen in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rafael Roldanillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Alfie Boulton made a huge save. Jarle Larsen scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfie Boulton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th match minute, Buckfast Abbey City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasey Kempson to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Roldanillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garry Bartram to make the kick off. Alfie Boulton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rio Groom in the 56th minute of the match. Alfie Boulton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Groom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Dean Harkness cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zane Page was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Rafael Roldanillo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton. Alfie Boulton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute Rio Groom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Boulton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarle Larsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alfie Boulton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Rafael Roldanillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfie Boulton was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 71st minute, Rafael Roldanillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Joy in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Buckfast Abbey City's zone, Jarle Larsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Boulton came out of the goal and Jarle Larsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfie Boulton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Groom in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jarle Larsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elwood FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarle Larsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfie Boulton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rio Groom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alfie Boulton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfie Boulton came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Elwood FC's Ben Barton. But to his dismay, Ben Barton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. If Mark Joy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buckfast Abbey City's Alfie Boulton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Barton in the 84th minute of play. Rio Groom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Alfie Boulton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Elwood FC's Jarle Larsen in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buckfast Abbey City's goalie prevented a goal. After 91 played minutes Buckfast Abbey City got a freekick which was hit by Seth Saville. If Rafael Roldanillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Buckfast Abbey City getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Adrian Fielden hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Elwood FC fully deserved thier win.
