The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tod Rushforth was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vance Galloway in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andre Forrest saved Deptford from getting behind. After having played for 55 minutes, Vance Galloway managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Horsley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vance Galloway was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 played minutes Deptford got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Armitstead. Deptford's supporters rose to their feet, but Tod Rushforth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeff Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Drew Thomas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeff Branson. East Horsley United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Drew Thomas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind East Horsley United's goalkeeper Jeff Branson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Drew Thomas got free with Jeff Branson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
