Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jools Potterton got the match started through his kick off. When Kasey Kempson fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buckfast Abbey City's protests and gave Kasey Kempson a yellow card for diving instead. Denzil Sparks charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denzil Sparks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Selhurst FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denzil Sparks to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Conan Wilkins throw himself and got hold of the ball when Garry Bartram in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Jools Potterton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alfie Boulton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Buckfast Abbey City's Garry Bartram dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Dean Harkness dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Conan Wilkins, 2-0. Selhurst FC's Abraham Monk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Seth Saville in the 24 minute of the game. Conan Wilkins made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Dean Harkness sent off a good shot on target. Selhurst FC's Jools Potterton got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jools Potterton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfie Boulton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jools Potterton in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Garry Bartram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conan Wilkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Garry Bartram to strike the kick off in the second half. Jools Potterton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Alfie Boulton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jools Potterton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Boulton having to interfere. After some careless play in the Buckfast Abbey City defense, Jools Potterton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfie Boulton. The Buckfast Abbey City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfie Boulton should have stopped the shot. If Dean Harkness had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garry Bartram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selhurst FC's Jim Foggarty quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dion Devaney, made in the 69th minute of the game. A collision led to Buckfast Abbey City getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kasey Kempson hit a great ball. Conan Wilkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Bartram in the 76th minute of play. Dean Harkness received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Conan Wilkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conan Wilkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Bartram in the 85th minute of the match. Jools Potterton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abraham Monk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfie Boulton having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jools Potterton got free with Alfie Boulton in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Jools Potterton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of Selhurst FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Selhurst FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Buckfast Abbey City were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
