Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Teddy Sheene started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Crispin Weston scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franz Hamer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teddy Sheene recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jude Stayton charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jude Stayton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Middlesbrough F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jude Stayton. Franz Hamer made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Crispin Weston sent off a good shot on target. After 22nd play minutes Crispin Weston shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Franz Hamer and just under the crossbar into goal. Middlesbrough F.C's Crispin Weston got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steve Townsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Nightingale in the 30th minute of the match. A hard shot 31 in the game by Crispin Weston from a close distance when the talented Franz Hamer managed to make a qualified save. Oława City United's players were relieved. Teddy Sheene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Hamer having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Teddy Sheene got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough F.C's Crispin Weston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franz Hamer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teddy Sheene in the 41st minute of play forced Oława City United's goalkeeper Franz Hamer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duncan Paget hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Teddy Sheene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Franz Hamer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Russell Holmes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Steve Townsley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell Holmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Franz Hamer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Sheene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Oława City United getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Duncan Paget hit a great ball. Oława City United's Franz Hamer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Sheene in the 65th minute of play. When Crispin Weston came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Middlesbrough F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Crispin Weston couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Oława City United's zone, Teddy Sheene stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franz Hamer came out of the goal and Teddy Sheene tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Crispin Weston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franz Hamer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a rather tough play, Oława City United's Mark Nightingale got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Crispin Weston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teddy Sheene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franz Hamer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Sheene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Middlesbrough F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
