He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Reigate FC reached it. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Keith Yorke sped through Sutton on Sea City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kasey Parslow. After 24 played minutes Sutton on Sea City got a freekick which was hit by David Capes. Adrian Dexter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Russell Burgess's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Clive Browne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Reigate FC's Dylon Pollard got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reigate FC's goalkeeper Adrian Dexter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clive Browne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Kasey Parslow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Keith Yorke sped through Sutton on Sea City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kasey Parslow. Clive Browne scored 1-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kasey Parslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kasey Parslow didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clive Browne went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Clive Browne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Parslow having to interfere. Reigate FC's Clive Browne got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Clive Browne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Reigate FC booed when Sutton on Sea City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Bentley didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clive Browne in the 65th minute of play forced Sutton on Sea City's goalkeeper Kasey Parslow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ted Perkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton on Sea City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ted Perkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Dexter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
