Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alex Airton made the kick off which started today's match. Neil Anson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Jamie Bartlett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neil Anson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Alastair Boatman sped through Egham United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Scott Noble. Alex Airton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birmingham United's Rex Billing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Pyrah in the 25th minute of play. Matty Rice hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When Egham United's Neil Anson in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birmingham United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 30th match minute, Egham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Clifford to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Egham United's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Airton came free, but Scott Noble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Warren Pyrah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egham United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Warren Pyrah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Egham United's Neil Anson in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birmingham United's goalie prevented a goal. Alex Airton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Scott Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jamie Bartlett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Warren Pyrah was the one to do the kick off. Scott Noble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alastair Boatman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Warren Pyrah in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rex Billing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rex Billing made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Marc Clifford sent off a good shot on target. Rex Billing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Anson in the 68th minute. Rex Billing was a little too slow when Neil Anson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-1. Rex Billing made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Neil Anson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Pyrah in the 75th minute of play forced Birmingham United's goalkeeper Rex Billing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Egham United booed when Birmingham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basil Woodhead didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alastair Boatman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Scott Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alastair Boatman in the 86th minute of play forced Egham United's goalkeeper Scott Noble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matty Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Egham United's Nicky Budden tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Sly Fairs fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Egham United's protests and gave Sly Fairs a yellow card for diving instead. Sly Fairs hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Alastair Boatman took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scott Noble. Scott Noble dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
