In the 93rd minute, Philip Cornish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Pullen in the 94th minute of play forced Hexham Town F.C.'s goalkeeper Geoff Furlong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hexham Town F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
