Ash Adcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Proctor having to interfere. Stefan Proctor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tod Jowsey in the 10th minute. Ash Adcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Stefan Proctor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Proctor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Beech, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Arsenal defense, Noel Beech kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Proctor. The Arsenal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Proctor should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute Jonathon Van Der Hoorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hawkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Jonathon Van Der Hoorn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bromley Boys's Louie Hawkins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Peacock in the 24th minute of play. Rodney Peacock scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Louie Hawkins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Dane Prior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Larry Parslow came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larry Parslow couldn't finish the play. Louie Hawkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodney Peacock in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Jonathon Van Der Hoorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hawkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Arsenal's Rodney Peacock made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Louie Hawkins was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Vinnie Purkiss in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bromley Boys's Noel Beech. 45 minutes into the game, Jonathon Van Der Hoorn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Louie Hawkins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Beech made a kick off. Bromley Boys's attentive Josh Kearney managed to snatch the ball when Jon Adcock made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Louie Hawkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodney Peacock in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Jonathon Van Der Hoorn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Louie Hawkins. Bromley Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathon Van Der Hoorn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 61 minutes into the game, Denzil Bensley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bromley Boys the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Denzil Bensley got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dane Prior managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bromley Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Dane Prior was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Proctor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Jowsey in the 64th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Stefan Proctor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsenal's Jonathon Van Der Hoorn got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Jonathon Van Der Hoorn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Louie Hawkins. Jonathon Van Der Hoorn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Louie Hawkins made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jonathon Van Der Hoorn sent off a good shot on target. Tod Jowsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Proctor having to interfere. Christopher Fawcett's late challenge caught a Arsenal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christopher Fawcett helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bromley Boys getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Christopher Fawcett hit a great ball. Louie Hawkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodney Peacock in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenal's Jonathon Van Der Hoorn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Louie Hawkins. That made the score 2-6 after 84 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Louie Hawkins successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodney Peacock kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Louie Hawkins. That made the score 2-7 in the 89 minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Tod Jowsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Stefan Proctor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute, Noel Beech made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Proctor. Arsenal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-7.
