With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Sutherland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Swinton AFC booed when pot noodle fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clive Lane didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Swinton AFC's Denzil Beadle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Perry Sherman's late challenge caught a Swinton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. When Johnathan Preston came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Swinton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathan Preston couldn't finish the play. Clive Lane hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Swinton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Travis Shaw came free, but Tristram Bittner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristram Bittner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Nowland in the 43rd minute of the match. Travis Shaw came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tristram Bittner could save by the left post. Tristram Bittner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Travis Shaw showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 44 minute of play.

After 51 minutes of play, pot noodle fc's Andrew Nowland made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 92nd minute Travis Shaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristram Bittner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Swinton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnathan Preston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The pot noodle fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Swinton AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
