Donny Meechan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tony Craven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tommy Piercy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Andre Nash managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tommy Piercy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Craven in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Tony Craven got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kirk Addison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35th minute, Kirk Addison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Felix Higgins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mick Apsden's late challenge caught a PSA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommy Piercy had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Terry Marchant's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After taking down the ball on PSA's corner Mattias Titmuss fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tommy Piercy quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirk Addison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andre Nash blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Piercy having to make a save. After 64 minutes of play, PSA's Andre Nash made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Piercy was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Andre Nash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirk Addison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Meechan having to interfere. After 78 minutes of play, PSA's Tony Craven made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. PSA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Kirk Addison scored to the left of an out of position Donny Meechan, making the score, 3-1. In the 94th minute, Syd Bentham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PSA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
