Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chesney Sykes started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Johnnie Lilley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gohari FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Codnor's Bart Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Oatway in the 10th minute of play. Bart Dobson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Oatway's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Bart Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Featherson in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Codnor getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Shaun Moss hit a great ball. Chesney Sykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Beck having to interfere. Bart Dobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Featherson, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Oatway in the 25th minute of play forced Codnor's goalkeeper Bart Dobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gohari FC's Alex Beck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Gohari FC from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the game, Codnor's Chesney Sykes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Beck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sebastien Chadwick charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastien Chadwick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sebastien Chadwick kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Don Berryman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chesney Sykes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Gohari FC's Sebastian Featherson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bart Dobson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Featherson was the one to do the kick off. Alex Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chesney Sykes in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Chesney Sykes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Alex Beck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, Gohari FC's Karl Simms got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bart Dobson. Bart Dobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Featherson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Oatway succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 71st playminute. Albert Oatway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Dobson having to interfere. Gohari FC's Alex Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chesney Sykes in the 78th minute of play. Alex Beck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chesney Sykes in the 80th minute of the match. Howard Whitmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alex Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Codnor's goalkeeper Bart Dobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Oatway. After 88 played minutes Gohari FC got a freekick which was hit by Jo Hilditch. The Gohari FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
