Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chesney Sykes took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to PSA getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Bradley Van Der Hoorn hit a great ball. Bradley Van Der Hoorn got his second yellow card in the match during the 5th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Codnor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastien Chadwick in the 9th minute. Bart Dobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Syd Bentham in the 11th minute. Codnor's Bart Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Nash in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chesney Sykes in the 16th minute of play forced PSA's goalkeeper Donny Meechan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Nash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bart Dobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Syd Bentham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Syd Bentham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bart Dobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Syd Bentham in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Andre Nash got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Donny Meechan came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Codnor's Chesney Sykes. But to his dismay, Chesney Sykes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in PSA's zone, Chesney Sykes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donny Meechan came out of the goal and Chesney Sykes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Codnor getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Sebastien Chadwick hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Codnor got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Moss. In the 42nd minute, Terry Marchant sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Codnor's Bart Dobson didn't even have to move. 44 minutes into the match, Codnor's Beinn Nelthorpe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donny Meechan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Howard Whitmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chesney Sykes in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donny Meechan prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

In the 60th match minute, Codnor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Moss to maneuver through the defense. Terry Marchant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bart Dobson. Codnor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Howard Whitmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Syd Bentham notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Codnor's Bart Dobson. Bart Dobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damian Newlyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donny Meechan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chesney Sykes went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to PSA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Tony Craven hit a great ball. Donny Meechan made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Chesney Sykes sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Codnor's Howard Whitmore ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donny Meechan. Donny Meechan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After 88 played minutes Chesney Sykes rounded PSA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in PSA's zone, Howard Whitmore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donny Meechan came out of the goal and Howard Whitmore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donny Meechan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 97th minute, which inside left pole to 2-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Codnor had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
