In the 20th minute Horsforth were awarded a corner. Rio Bonds went to the cornerflag to take it. 22 minutes into the game, Nick Furlong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rowan Pearce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nick Furlong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Rowan Pearce made a huge save. After having played for 34 minutes, Trev Nethercott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Follis United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trev Nethercott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Follis United's Rowan Pearce got control of the ball when Simon Maclean tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rowan Pearce didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After some careless play in the Horsforth defense, Trev Nethercott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Leeson. The Horsforth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Leeson should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Graeme Pryor to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Graeme Pryor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel Leeson. Graeme Pryor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Norman Johnston kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Simon Maclean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Pearce having to interfere. When Follis United's Graeme Pryor in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horsforth's goalie prevented a goal. Graeme Pryor scored 2-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Leeson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nick Furlong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rowan Pearce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Simon Maclean cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Rowan Pearce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rowan Pearce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Furlong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Follis United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
